Workshop 1

Title:

Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

Description:

In this workshop, you will learn about the methodology and definition of Artificial intelligence, as you will also be able to understand the many benefits AI has on everything we work with on a daily basis and you will also learn how greatly it is integrated within the business world. To expand further on the many services used in the world of AI, we will be taking you over a myriad of services and benefits Watson provides to the AI world. Finally, we will be ending the workshop with a lab, where you will get to experience and get the chance to leverage the Cloud platform to utilize the services of AI on real-world problems.

Agenda:

  • Definition and methodology of Artificial Intelligence
  • The significance of AI in the global market and in businesses
  • Introduction to Watson services
  • Hands-on: Predict insurance premium charges using AutoAI

Workshop 2

Title:

Explore Industries AI Use Cases

Description:

In attending this workshop, you learn and explore different use cases in AI applications. You will also learn about fundamental concepts; such as, Containers and Kubernetes projects. You will be able to learn how to deploy and consume ready-to-use deep learning microservices on Red Hat® OpenShift® to follow along with the speaker on the approach to deploy an object Detector microservice using the OpenShift web console and how to deploy an Image Caption Generator microservice using the OpenShift command-line interface (CLI).

Agenda:

  • Human vision vs AI Vision
    • Eye vision vs. Camera vision
  • IntoMachine Learning?
    • Supervised Learning vs. Unsupervised Learning
  • Into Deep Learning?
    • Classification vs. Object Detection
  • Examples of AI Vision Object Detection uses cases:
    • Transportation vs. Healthcare vs. Security
  • Explore AI use cases with NLP
  • Intro to OpenShift
  • Intro to kubernetes
  • Intro to Docker
  • Hands-on:

AI integration with OpenShift: Deploy and consume ready-to-use deep learning microservices on OpenShift

Workshop 3

 Title:

NLP in the age of Transformers: From counting words to human-level text understanding

Brief Description:

In this workshop, you will walk through the history of Natural Language Processing (NLP) from basic methods of word counting to recent advancements in neural network architectures that have led to near human-level performance in many NLP tasks. We will see how the field has evolved with the development of Transformer networks and consequently the state of the art Bi-directional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) models.

Pre-requisites:

Understanding of fundamental Machine Learning terminologies and concepts.

Workshop 4

 Title:

Analysing Customer’s Feedback about Online Services through Natural Language Processing

Brief Description:

In this workshop, we will run a sentimental analysis on online services with python and Natural Language processing methods in a step by step instructor-led hands-on session. It is not days long activity instead all can be done in a couple of hours. Once the model is developed it will automatically work on the future dataset. The outline of  the workshop is:

  • Data manipulation
  • Applying
  • NLP techniques and sentiment analysis
  • Visualization of the results
  • Modeling classification Algorithms
  • Measuring model accuracy with ROC(Receiver  and AUC(Area Under Curve)

Pre-requisites:

Understanding of fundamental of programming languages/Python

Workshop 5

Automation of helpdesk services through machine learning and text cluster

Brief Description

The Corona Virus – COVID-19 pandemic caused a significant impact on public services. In particular, it brought a massive digitalization of services that were offered in person. In addition, there was a great deal of pressure on official channels, whether to seek a service or to report a fact. Qualified and official information becomes an element in combating the pandemic. Knowing where to look for information, reporting a fact or getting a qualified response are essential steps to maximize the efficiency of the citizen’s decision-making process, especially in a scenario of such uncertainty. The State has a fundamental role, whether as an inducer, executor or provider of the means necessary for information and decision-making to be effective at that moment.
