“The Women in Data Science (WiDS) initiative aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field.”
Education is an essential tool to empower women & girls to gain confidence and achieve economic stability and success. Today’s digital era has been largely defined by technological advancements, where access to technology is essential to anyone’s educational and economic success. Due to the fastest-growing technical advancement in jobs, STEM needs women.This Day aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 & SDGs allows us to honour women’s significant achievements in STEM and place a much-needed focus on girls entering Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers.
The WiDS Datathon aims to inspire women worldwide to learn more about data science, and to create a supportive environment for women to connect with others in their community who share their interests.
