Welcome to Women in Data Science(WiDS) – Datathon organized by Prince Sultan University(PSU) in collaboration with Stanford University.
The WiDSDatathon encourages women to hone their data science skills through analytical challenges focused on social impact, bringing people together across borders to work in teams.
PSU Women in Data Science(WiDS) Conference is hosting a Datathon with winners to be announced during the annual conference on the 14th March 2023.
Aligned to this competition, WiDS PSU is offering mentoring sessions for all women interested in Data Science and keen to participate in this Datathon. These sessions will aim to introduce and apply those tools that could be used in the Datathon and will facilitate the skills of Data Science in general. PSU WiDS Conference and 2022 Datathon competition is an independent event organized by PSU WiDS Ambassadors & Co-Ambassador, Dr.Tanzila Saba & Ms Fatima Khan and Datathon team, Dr.Tanzila Saba, Dr.Souad Larabi, Ms Erum Afzal , Dr.Amerah Alghanim and Ms.Sumaira Asif. We will have the mentor Dr.Rosana de Oliveira Gomes. The event will be harmonized with the Annual Women in Data Science (WiDS) Stanford Worldwide Conference.
We will have eleven sessions from Jan -Feb 2023, one in person and the other one online follow-up session to mentor the participants and train them in the required skills. The PSU WiDS 2023 Datathon Workshops details are given below.
The Datathon starts in January and ends in February. The “winner” team will be announced on the day of the forum: March 14th. The datathon will be live on Kaggle, a virtual event suitable for beginners through experts. It will be mentored by Prof.Tanzila Saba, Dr.Souad Larabi, Dr.Rehman Khan, Ms Aisa Dawood, Dr.Sara Elteif and PSU AIDA Lab team.
