Data Science Club under the supervision of the Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics (AIDA ) Lab at Prince Sultan University, Riyadh, KSA is pleased to invite you to the STEM Exhibition Day (Sunday, 12th Feb, 2023 / 09:00 AM – 02:00 PM) aligned to Saudi Vision 2030, SDGs 4,5,9,17 & UN International Women & Girls in Science Day.
The WGiS Day mission aims to expose female students and faculty’ products, prototypes and research projects to the community for women’s role in STEM. To support this mission, we focus on increasing the diversity in the pool of STEM experts by concentrating on women experts in fields such as data science, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, cybersecurity, mathematics, general sciences etc.
This exhibition will be useful for academics, researchers, undergraduate and postgraduate students. We look forward to seeing you at this outstanding event.
Special prizes and certificates will be awarded to the winners. All participants will get certificates.

International Day of Women & Girls in Science_ Research Exhibition 2023
Significance
According to a report shared by UNESCO, only 33% of researchers are women, regardless of the fact 45% and 55% women students enroll for Bachelor’s and Master’s respectively and out of which 44% enroll for PhD progam.
Further, it has been clarified that 70% health and social care workers are women and even they are paid 11% less than their male counterparts.
This is the reason, why should we organize various events and activates on International Day of Women and Girls in Science to promote the involvement of women and girls in Science and Technology.
There are a number of women worldwide who are known for their ultimate contributions in the field of Science and Technology and some of them are- Katherine Johnson, Ruth Benerito, Lillian Gilbreth, Edith Clarke, Rachel Carson and many more.
